Kilby Elementary School opened in 1959. In 1971, the PTA urged the renaming of the school for its first principal, R. Dean Kilby, who served there from 1959 to 1971.

Kilby students reside in the communities of Marumsco Village and Marumsco Hills.

Directions

From I-95 take exit 158 A and go East on Prince William Parkway. At the first stop light turn left on Summerland Drive. The school will be in front of you at the intersection of Horner Rd..

From US 1 turn west onto Prince William Parkway. Turn right onto Botts Avenue. Drive about ¼ mile, the school will be in front of you at the intersection of Horner Rd.
